Main Engineering

Spanning Decks 6-8 in the Lucidity's midsection, Main Engineering is the beating heart of the vessel, containing the ship's eight "syncopating" Intermix Cores (antimatter reactor chambers), which are arranged in an inverted V8 configuration and generate power for ship's two primary propulsion systems, conventional warp drive and the subspace boring "JUMP" system, as well as for the ship's systems overall. The unusual configuration of the multiple Cores represents a means to provide both the requisite enormous power output while preventing catastrophic harmonics from developing in the intermix process due to interaction with the subspace boring "Jump" drive when it is active. One of the primary and most distinctive gameplay areas, the Main Engineering section extends across three decks and multiple compartments to accommodate a wide range of operational and crisis gameplay scenarios.
