Lucidity Class - Overall Schematic

Starfleet originated Project Stingray to explore the possibilities of a radical new experimental drive system that utilized subspace boring — essentially generating guided artificial wormholes — to traverse vast expanses of space beyond the range of conventional warp propulsion: JUMP drive. After years of difficult experimentation and troubled prototypes, the Project gave birth to what was to be a new ultra-long-range pathfinder starship class as represented by its lead ship, the Lucidity. With its long, fluid hull geometry, huge "boring" emitter in the bow, and warp grills embedded in its "wings", the Lucidity was an exotic ship like no other Starfleet vessel before it — and perhaps, ever again...

The overall design of this fictional ship, inside and out, draws from aesthetics and conventions of those Star Trek series and films with which its narrative context is intended to be contemporaneous. As such, it features aspects and details deliberately similar to those of the Voyager, original Dauntless (alien-made fake though it may be), Defiant, and the cinematic Enterprise-E, and one should be able to identify many familiar attributes and hull features despite the Lucidity's unconventional silhouette.

The ship schematics presented here do not show all features and details that would be present, but rather is intended to serve as somewhat simplified general guide to the distinctive form and layout of the ship as it might appear on an in-setting LCARS console display.
