Main Engineering - Deck 6 - Highlights

Power Distribution: the node from which the plasma output of the Intermix Cores is divided to provide power the two primary drive systems, the integrated warp engines and the subspace boring "Jump" drive, as well as the other systems of the ship.

Tractor Beam Control: although not technically part of the Engineering Complex, per se, this adjacent compartment provides direct monitoring and operation of the ship's large towing tractor beam emitter.

Plasma Ejection System: a pair of channels that allow for rapid ejection of output plasma from Intermix Cores' overhead junction conduit.

Engineering Bus, Life Support: these systems provide power to the hardware of Engineering complex, and manage the work environment for the crew, keeping the main compartment of Engineering clear of most hazardous emissions.

Jeffries Tubes, ODN (Internal Optical Comm Network) Management: the Jeffries Tubes network of small technical access corridors that run through the ship have been laid out in some detail to provide dramatic locations for gameplay scenarios, and alternative routes to traverse the ship's sections and decks. The ODN systems represent the internal wired communications, and its router boxes can be found throughout the ship.

Fuel Processing: Like all Starfleet vessels, the ship can produce a limited amount of fuel from materials captured from space itself. These compartments process these raw elements into deuterium and antimatter, the former stored in tanks in the ship's aft "tail" and the latter in special containment pods on Deck 9.
